Family and Parenting Support
Parenting is hard. finding help is not.
Parent support services are now using Zoom and other online meeting platforms to continue to support families during COVID19.
Tiwa Babies Home Visiting offers no-cost, strength-based, and culturally appropriate services for prenatal families, and families with children 0-5 living in Taos County. We partner with parents and work together in the convenience of your home or other locations in the community to reflect and connect on any parenting topics.
Taos Loves Kids provides parenting classes to our community to support and increase the nature and importance of parent/child attachment to build positive ongoing interactions. We are building a community of care for young children and their families to reduce isolation, facilitate understanding of child development, and build parent resiliency in order to decrease chances of child abuse and neglect. Classes available include a Father’s Class and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Group.
First Steps provides regular visits by a trained home visitor to support the nurturing relationship between you and your baby/child. The program focuses on understanding and responding to your baby’s/child’s needs to encourage their growth, development and well-being. Your home visitor can also connect you to any community resources/support systems that are available for families. FS sees families prenatal to three years of age.
